5 Years After Charleston: Floyd murder calls into question if U.S. has really made progress toward racial justice


The murder of the Emanuel nine was one of the most horrific racial killings in U.S. history. Five years ago, America was reeling and began to have difficult conversations regarding racial justice. However, following the recent murders of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor, many are calling in to question whether we as a country have progressed at all. We all have witnessed past and recent acts of police brutality and must evaluate the obvious systemic problems. Police violence is gun violence and it is our duty to work toward combating this serious issue.
