South Carolina Congressman James Clyburn: 'May be possible' to close the Charleston loophole in a police reform bill


Earlier this year, Congressman Clyburn's Enhanced Background Checks Act passed the House. This bill would provide federal investigators longer periods to complete background checks. Unfortunately, this important bill has still yet to be voted on by the Senate. Despite Senate Majority Leader McConnell's delay, Clyburn is optimistic that in the current political landscape his bill can be tagged on to justice and policing legislation.
