Horry County filed a temporary injunction against George Ferrell, owner of Horry County Farm for endangering the neighborhood adjacent to the farm. Those on the farm are known for firing guns towards the neighborhood, and several houses show the damage.

According to court documents, the property has been "habitually used" to shoot guns at a residential development. Houses are hit frequently. The police have requested many times for the shooting to stop but to no avail.

Many families reside in the neighborhood and choose to live there for the good school district. Now, parents are scared to let their kids out to play in the backyard. Residents have even asked the farm owners to shoot in a different direction, but nothing changed.

Solicitors asked a judge for an injunction so they could force the farm to shut down at the end of a trial.
